DOing REusable MUSical Data (DOREMUS)

چکیده
The aim of this tutorial is first to provide in-depth explanations of DOREMUS, a model for describing music metadata. We will demonstrate how real data coming frommusical libraries can be converted to this model by presenting the whole DOREMUS tools chain. We will illustrate how the DOREMUS data can be used for query answering and consumed through various applications including an exploratory search engine and music recommender systems.

DOREMUS: Doing Reusable Musical Data
This paper introduces DOREMUS—a semantic web project aiming to provide common knowledge models and shared multilingual vocabularies to cultural institutions, publishers, distributors and users in the musical domain. The project develops methods to describe, publish, connect and contextualize music catalogs on the web of data. Our focus is on the description of classical and traditional musical ...
متن کاملExploring Linked Classical Music Catalogs with OVERTURE
In this paper, we introduce OVERTURE—a web application allowing to explore the interlinked catalogs of major music libraries including the French National Library, Radio France and the Philharmonie de Paris. We have first developed the DOREMUS ontology which is an extension of the well-known FRBRoo model for describing works and expressions as well as the creation process. We have implemented a...
متن کاملData-to-music Api: Real-time Data-agnostic Sonification with Musical Structure Models
In sonification methodologies that aim to represent the underlying data accurately, musical or artistic approaches are often dismissed as being not transparent, likely to distort the data, not generalizable, or not reusable for different data types. Scientific applications for sonification have been, therefore, hesitant to use approaches guided by artistic aesthetics and musical expressivity. A...
متن کاملDOREMUS to Schema.org: Mapping a Complex Vocabulary to a Simpler One
Librarians and music professionals often us complex models and ontologies such as FRBRoo to represent music metadata. As a consequence, this metadata is not easily consumable by general search engines or external web applications. This paper presents a methodology, composed of a set of recipes, for mapping a complex ontology to a simpler model, namely Schema.org. 1 Music Information and Structu...
متن کاملPerceptually motivated automatic dance motion generation for music
In this paper, we describe a novel method to automatically generate synchronized dance motion that is perceptually matched to a given musical piece. The proposed method extracts 30 musical features from musical data as well as 37 motion features from motion data. A matching process is then performed between the two feature spaces considering the correspondence of the relative changes in both fe...
